KURLY OF THE MONTH: January 2017 Karen

Every month, we highlight a superstar Kurly who is giving us serious hair envy. Meet Karen from Winston-Salem, NC who owns two sets of the Bobcat Fro, Bobcat Spirals, and My Kinky Straight Blowout. Why does she own so many Kurly Klips? Because she's my Mama! And all she wanted for Christmas was to be the January Kurly of the Month. And because she's my Mom, of course, I happily obliged.

My greatest accomplishment in life is that I am a great Mom that created ASTOUNDING fruit. In addition, I created The Feeling Friends, 12 adorable characters that teach children how to identify, express and manage their feelings. With music, books, and characters, I help children grow up to become emotionally stable adults.

FAVORITE PRODUCTS TO USE ON YOUR KURLY KLIPS + WHAT'S YOUR CARE ROUTINE?

TRESemme Shampoo and Conditioner. I pull shampoo through them always from top to bottom. Then I pull conditioner through them from top to bottom. Then I brush out with conditioner in them. Then I rinse the conditioner out and let them dry naturally.

ANY FAVORITE MEMORIES WHILE WEARING YOUR KURLY KLIPS?

My favorite memory is going from Bobcat Fro to Kinky Straight Blowout. At the salon, I actually saw my hair blown out which I had not seen in 6 months, Even though I am aging and my hair is thinning, my natural hair is BEAUTIFUL! My natural wave pattern is AWESOME. When my stylist blew me out and then klipped in Kinky Straight Blowout...I was blown away. The texture blends in perfectly with my hair. Way to go LANA! Folks still haven't figured out that I am wearing Kurly Klips! When they comment on how beautiful my hair is, I tell them. They are AMAZED!
