And to be honest, I've learned throughout the years that it's so important to hear those same words from yourself. That's why I love the ThinkUp app. It allows you to record affirmations in your own voice and then it plays them back to you with music. How did I discover it? While lurking on Instagram... DUH! LOL. 

But no seriously, I. CANNOT. TELL. YOU. what a difference it has made in my life. There's something about hearing phrases like "I am beautiful" and "I am loved" in my own voice that makes my brain actually believe it. It's like it's coming from myself and an independent person at the same time. It's hard to explain, but you have to try it. The free version is pretty dope, and after an evening of listening, I upgraded because I could already tell the difference it was having on my heart. 

I wish I had it when I got caught up in that loveless relationship a few years back. Would I have left sooner? Is there something in your life these affirmations can help you overcome?
