I know I've been a bit MIA lately, but I've been on this wild ride of personal growth and professional development. Your girl is now teaching yoga and sound bath meditation! Speaking of which, I had the most heart-filling experience last April. Remember Parkland High in Winston-Salem that went viral for all the wrong reasons? Well, I got to teach mindfulness to over 20 beautiful young girls there. Together, we flipped the script and reclaimed their story through yoga and mindfulness. It was pure magic and truly felt like a second calling! ✨
This new chapter of my life has me walking in the footsteps of legends like Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts and the late great Alice Coltrane. Just like when I started Kurly Klips and found myself a minority in the hair extension business, I'm now one of the few Black women in the wellness space. But you know what? We keep pushing, ascending, and carving out paths for others to follow. Here's to more melanin in the meditative arts! 🙌🏾
